Cadian 177th

The Cadian 177th are a mechanised infantry regiment of Imperial Guard and key part of Battlegroup 86.

Colonel Kinsley

Tough and popular, with a preference for getting away from the desk and involed in front line action, something heavily resisted by Major Naise.

Major Naise

Often fills the “bad cop” role for Colonel Kinsley, but also keen to remind her of her duties as a Senior Commander and keeping her from diving into the trenches at every opporunity.

Commissar Nari

In the wake of their exposure to the forces of Chaos on Lachesis, A Company have been assigned Comissar Nari to watch over them and ensure that the company remains untainted.

Primaris Psyker Heirani

Cadian born, she spent much time away training to be a psyker before returning to her home just to see it destroyed. Unpopular amongst the rank and file, she is often found near the Ogryns who are completely accepting of her.

A Company

Captain Founder

Straightforward and honest, and perhaps overly noble. Recently maimed by Orks, he has received extensive bionic enhancement. A skilled tactical officer, he nevertheless preffers to lead from the front; following the Cadian tradition of officers not asking anything of their troops that they would not face themselves. Colonel Kinsley has her eye firmly upon him for future senior command, seeing much of herself in him, and has assigned him an Ogryn Bodyguard in the hope he may live long enough to get there.

2nd Platoon

Lieutenant Wright

Young, keen and nervous, she was recently promoted on Samalut. She lacks self confidence as an officer, but has more than proved herself to her platoon in combat. She is still very much operating by the book, and generally possitions herself in a good vantage point to be giving orders, rather then getting stuck in over-enthusiastically.

1st Squad - The Professionals

Staff Sergeant Dekker insists that first squad be entirely comprised of Cadian born soldiers. However they have suffered heavy casualties on Lancheses and there is increasing pressure to let some of the more experiences Samalutian soldier join the unit.

2nd Squad - The Firebrands

Sergeant Smale is one of the most senior Samalutian born soldiers in the Company, she is detirmined to prove they are just as good as the Cadian born. This detirmination sometimes manifests as recklessness.

3rd Squad - Quiet Ones

Sergeant Hadel is less vocal than his fellow sergeants, he keeps his head down both on and off the battlefield, and his squad follows his lead.

6th Squad - Rain Bringers

Sentinel Squadron 3 - Little Wolves

Sentinel Squadron 3 were refitted for combat with Heavy Infantry after the war on Lachesis. On Makrinos they earned the nickname "Little Wolves" for their heroic and agressive actions that echoed the Imperial Knights of House Ulfir.

Ogryns

Sergeant Drokk's "Bonk squad" have worked alongside A Company since their assignment to the Eniola's Prospect warzone. They have proven a vital lynchpin in many battles, holding up the enemy long enough for the rest of the forces to acheive the mission.

Hogg

Colonel Kinsley personally assigned Hogg to protect Captain Founder after the incident with the deamon engine that nearly killed him.

Astropath Varigev

Attached form the Adeptus Astra Telepathica for long range communications, he has sometimes been sent to the front lines to make alternative use of his psychic abilities.

Cadian 53rd Armoured

Kasr Petros

Captain Wulfe leads the squadron from the Cadian 53rd Armoured that have been attached to A Company aboard his venerable Leman Russ Executioner.

Kasr Derth

Kasr Derth is fitted out for heavy close range or urban combat, with a demolisher cannon and multi-meltas.

Kasr Bastos - Old Reliable

Kasr Bastos is the most lightly armed member of the squadron, with just a battle cannon and hull mounted heavy bolter. Nevertheless it has proved itself several times in combat against the Heretic Astartes. On Makrinos it earned the nickname "Old Reliable" for the number of hits it survived form the Tyranid anti-tank weapons, and even a full assult from a Hive Tyrant.

Tech-Priest Enginseer Omonust

Hailing fomr the Forgeworld of Agripinaa, he has been attached to the 53rd Armoured Regiment since before the fall of Cadia, and doggedly followed his armoured charged from warzone to warzone. He consideres himself blessed by the Omnisiah to have been able to serve alongside the Knights of House Ulfir as well, although he has not been permitted to work upon them.
