Walahfrid "The Wall" Ruskin is the personal bodyguard of Interrogator Meade.

Origins

Strong of body, firm in his duty but un-gifted in intellect, Corporal Ruskin was recruited as an Inquisitorial Stormtrooper by Inquisitor Velasquez. He was later assigned the dedicated duty of being Interrogator Meade's personal bodyguard. During an extended operation with the Deathwatch, Ruskin impressed the Astartes with his dedicated bravery and ability to get himself shot in defence of Meade. In recognition, their Techmarine reworked a damaged storm shield to fit his (merely human) stature and gifted it to him. He has born it with fierce pride ever since.

Duty

Corporal Ruskin takes his duty to protect Meade very seriously, and was happy to accompany her when she transferred from Inquisitor Velasquez to Inquisitor Michael. A soldier at heart, having spent much time with Velasquez in active warzones, he has not entirely adapted to the generally more investigative type of work of the Inquisition in Cetus. He has become a little arrogant, but hopefully this will wear off in time.
