vs Chalie's Scions
Fought on Lehua's Prospect, a planet in the Toclatzan system, on the border of the Massylean and Iolean sub-sectors
Were investigating this new location, found an outpost to investigate, obtaines some basic info but nothing too useful. Were met by some bastard offshoot of Gulliman's Legion. Gave them a bloody nose, but they had a lot of new units and methods. Thankfully the local milita we had co-opted threw themselves into the fight having realised the folly of the Imperium and enabled our main forces to withdraw.
vs Jeff's Dark Eldar
Fought on planet Rakartha in the Iaudex system
To better understand what was going on, we raided a local data repository. Unexpectedly on an Imperial world, the perfidious Eldar were on some kind of raid of the local populace. We shielded members of the Tikendarokans who being more familiar with current Imperial protocols performed the data dump. We were able to see off the Eldar, however Samek both was able to deal a personal blow to the Eldar commander, but lost a leg to their filthy xenos weaponry.
vs Tom's Raven Guard
Some unknown location
Having formented rebellion, the Raven Guard were sent to investigate and quell the insurrection. While these new Imperial forces are much more effective, we were able to absorb their thrust utilising wave after wave of local forces to blunt their attacks and ultimately a stalemate was reached and both forces withdrew. We left the planet to its chances as if nothing else it will absorb Imperial resources to bring back into compliance.

The local forces were much more prepared and loyal than anything else we've encountered. Perhaps being those left after the previous actions of the Word Bearers and Night Lords had focussed their minds somewhat. Not much success was had in this encounter, and a number of units were depleted to the point of reformation. We shall see how these units perform in the coming engagements. We may have obtained sufficient psychically active individuals to keep our fleet mobile, but it will be dependent on their internal strength.

Amongst the first expedition fleets to launch for the Alpha Legion, quickly passed the expanding front of the Great Crusade into the outer rim of the north east of the galaxy. There they conducted the sorts of operations the Alpha Legion became most well known for, corrupting and converting the existing populations of planets and systems by use of operatives and strategic strikes so that they were more ripe for conversion. It is a little recognised fact that a large number of those systems where compliance was achieved with little or no resistance did so not because they were originally aligned with the concepts of the nascent Imperium, but because of the changes in their society that were engineered by operatives of the Alpha Legion.
Given how far advanced strikeforce Zayin were when the Heresy began, it was not until deep into the Heresy that they received notification that anything had changed from their original orders. Having been operating in secret beyond the general reach of the overall Imperial command structure, the marines and fighting forces of fleet and Imperial Army of XXX were still a snapshot of the original formation of a Secular Imperium. On returning to the larger imperium and making more formal contact with elements of the Alpha Legion, they were shocked at what they discovered:
- Council of Nikea and demonisation of psykers based on some perceived association with “higher powers in the warp”
- Growing influence of the Imperial Creed within the human elements of the crusade
- Formation of a breakaway empire by the Ultramarines, Blood Angels, and Dark Angels
- Ultimately the withdrawal of the Emperor surely had to mean something
Given all they found, the Zayin sought out elements of their Legion to join forces with and partook in a number of skirmishes still far out towards the galactic north east. Their progress towards the main forces of the Alpha Legion were hampered by the lingering effects of the Ruinstorm and so they were still far from the main regions of conflict when the Heresy climaxed. It was the inherent secrecy of the Alpha Legion which ultimately doomed them. While the Imperium they returned to was a shadow of the idea they had set out to create, the depths to which the Legions under Horus had sunk were far worse. However by the time they learned of this, it was too late and they were marked by the Imperium as traitors. In the wake of the Battle for Terra, as the Scouring was sweeping back through the galaxy and hunting down the traitors, the fleet of the Zayin were amongst those that were sought as heretics.
Hounded by the fleets of the Scouring, and unwilling to join the traitor legions who were falling back to the Eye of Terror, they fled into the core of the galaxy where the density of systems and the extremely hostile interstellar environment meant they were able to elude their pursuers.
Perhaps given their propensity for scheming, if they have fallen to any of the gods it would be tzeentch. Perhaps they don't even quite know they are working for tzeentch, schemes within schemes within schemes.
Something about enhancement of the Omophagea amongst alpha legion that means more than just being able to learn from their enemies by consuming their flesh, they can pass messages, motivations, and even elements of personality from one to another by the consumption of small quantities of their flesh/blood. For the most powerful, they are even able to subsume the personality of the “host” and so the propensity of captured alpha legionnaires to claim to be their leader alpharius, and the apparent inability of their primarch to be captured or killed may be explained by this ability.

Stavs
Corb, Dekkan, and Marl. Dockers, sometimes referred to as Stavs, who have seen the light of the Imperium's weakness and when the signal came took up arms to overthrow the corruption that blights their society.
Serpent’s Kiss
A gang of YYY, they have effective control of the dockyards and total say over any movement of goods and personnel through the system placing them in a position that is even more powerful than they realise considering YYY’s position as a transfer point between the Targaean Veil and the Graiae and beyond into the Achernar Sector. They draw their members exclusively from the “original” population of YYY, and this is a major aspect of their recruitment strategy. All members share a common genetic stock hence their similar skin colouring, aversion to bright light, and the congenital baldness that affects all genders. An effective uniform of the gang, the grey trenchcoat with purple trim and the purple serpent symbol, set them apart and make sure they are instantly identifiable. Given their position in control of the dockyards, they were an obvious target for subversion by the ZZZ. Preying upon their machismo and gang culture it was easy for the agents to become close with lead members of the gang and whisper the seeds of sedition into their ears in their most vulnerable moments. Once those at the top had been subverted, the rest fell into line without even realising they were part of a conspiracy. When the axe fell, in league with the Stavs, the dockyards rapidly descended into chaos and brought the entire system to a standstill.
Tikendarokan 6th Mobile Infantry
Tikendaroka in the Carilla sector, north-east. Located at “The Chute”, the primary transfer point out of the region to its north-east called the Plain a vast area of warp calm which allows easy travel and into the significant warp route known as “The Gorge” which runs south and west (galactically) towards XXXXX. Significant orbital defenses and a massive standing armed force to patrol and enforce the tithes for materiel passing through the region. Significant trouble from the wilderness region bordered by Carillon system known as the Drondaks Primarily a drop infantry based force, they favour large scale infantry engagements bringing massed firepower to overcome opponents. They hail from the eastern quadrant of the galaxy where they have honed their tactics and developed significant experience defending the Imperium from the xenos invasion known as the Tyranid.
