The House Queln mansion sits atop one of Sejanus' spires, with its own landing pad and gardens. The family is an old and powerful one, with interests across the Achernar Sector. They own multiple trading vessels and run several large manufactorums within the hive. They also loom large in Cetan high society, and are respected as much for being of handsome stock as for their personal achievements. Many of the more... inwardly maintained Cetan Houses envy the Quelns' sculptural looks and perfect health.

Abram Queln

Jalicia Queln, Lord Sejanus, Baron of the Aureole and lord of pretty much everything he surveys, is the patriarch of the House. He is a keen student of Imperial history, fine art, and other forms of good living. According to Lord Sejanus' son Bastian, he indulges in some potentially heretical pursuits at his various country estates, and an investigation is pending. The allegation involved the hunting of convicts for sport.

Jalicia Queln

Jalicia Queln is the matriarch, and a painter of renowned excellence. She enjoyed a remarkable improvement to her skills about twenty years ago, having described the painter Fein Gregorin as having dropped many pearls of wisdom into her ears. Her paintings are almost impossibly lifelike, and are sometimes considered verging on inappropriate. During his interrogation in the Obelisk, Bastian Queln claimed that there is a secret gallery of Jalicia's private paintings, and that the Inquisition might like to see them.

Sisalia Queln

Sisalia Queln, eldest scion of House Queln, assists her father with much of the day to day running of the House’s portfolio. She is renowned as a cruel disciplinarian, firing people for innocent mistakes without a shred of pity. Many regard her as Abram’s bloodhound, unleashed when he is displeased. She relishes hunting trips with her father.

Viran Queln

Viran Queln, second scion and more of an artist than a businessman, Viran helps maintain House Queln’s place in the cultural sphere with prose and verse; he is also an accomplished musician.

Bastian Queln

Bastian Queln, the third scion, has neither the drive of his sister nor the artistry of his brother, and is all the more bitter for it. Inquisitor Michael arrested him for the manufacture and distribution of pamphlets across Evander Boulevard claiming the Emperor was on the verge of death and looks like a rotting corpse. Once arrested, he grew spiteful, and spilled secrets potentially condemning his hitherto unsuspected relatives.
