The Andaras Affair started what would become a season of seemingly unrelated violent conflicts between various Imperial forces in and around the Iolan Reaches and a bewildering variety of Xenos threats from within and without.

Sabotage the defence laser

Sabotage the defence laser.jpg

The Starborn Souls attempt to sabotage a defence laser on Andaras to clear their way to escape the world but are contested by the Cobalt Scions. They are only partially successful leaving many members of the cult stranded. The rest flee to Saban's Hope.

The Yanoi'tyr, commanded by Shas'O Me'lek'e, acting on some intelligence from interrogated Outcast prisoners head to Andaras in search fo some fables Necron repelling ancient technology. There they came into conflict with Host Taliesin but manged to acquire some blackstone.

Order of Our Martyred Lady arrive on Andaras

The Order of Our Martyred Lady arrive on Andaras to ensure the safety of holy relics and engaged Grimtoof's Ramshackle Shankaz in order to recover a sacred relic..

Blackstone Shuttle Down

Blackstone Shuttle Down.jpg

The Eldar clearly have either spies in our midst or some way of psychic divination. They knew exactly which shuttle contained our recovered Star God artefacts. Some kind of viciously fast fighter shot it down. A meeting engagement between our forces ensued in which we drove them off handily and recovered our property

Engagement Report 276538144D.jpg

Host Taliesin turned their attentions to their main mission, and moved to Iaa-Q to investigate the rumours of Necrons. Instead they ran into the forces of the Adeptus Mechanicus.
Engagement Report 276538144D: Aeldari Engaged. 2 Blasphemous Machines Destroyed. Additional Biological Entities Eliminated. Minor damage to biological resources. Recovery of the Machine Spirit completed.

The Chapel of Light Abundant

The Chapel of Light Abundant.jpg

In an attempt to weaken the local faithful on Andaras, the Starborn Souls dynamited a chapel and then ambushed the Sisters that came to visit it. Horrifyingly among the dreadful casualties, due to an unbelievable webber shot 4 sacrosancts were taken alive...

Distraction Raid on Iaa-Q

Distraction Raid on Iaa-Q.jpg

With Saban's World developing on track, the leadership of the Starborn Souls are intent on drawing the eyes of the authorities away from their new hope. They staged an attack on Adeptus Mechanicus Expeditionary Force Xerces scavenging from a shattered manufactorum on Iaa-Q. Though many brave souls made the ultimate sacrifice for the cult they seriously blooded the machine botherers and made out with some valuable materiel for the struggle ahead.

Orks Join the Fray

Grimtoof's Ramshackle Shankaz, loving a good high speed chase, followed the Starborn Souls to Iaa-Q. There they ran into Expeditionary Force Xerces, and commenced a drive-by shooting and looting.

Outpost 31

Outpost 31.jpg

As part of their wide-reaching plans, the Starborn Souls had also sent a team to infiltrate Jebalt. The Cobalt Scions rapidly responded to Outpost 31 going dark. The cultitst were driven off but Captian Lucullus was gravely wounded.

Provocation on Iaa-Q

Skitarri forces sifting through the ruins of Iaa-Q find themselves under surprise assault from the Black Guardians of Host Vahlkaer. Though they give the perfidious eldar as good as they get, their command-priest is isolated and gunned down in what could only be described as a pre mediated assassination attempt (albeit with anti tank rockets). As fast as the Eldar struck they withdrew, delaying just long enough for the barbaric mon keigh to give chase. Just as planned...

Moons Rise, Valkyries Fall

The Yanoi'tyr clash with the Starborn Souls amisdst the wreckage of Iaa-Q.

Scrap scrap

Thanks to the hit and run tactics of Host Vahlkaer, Expeditionary Force Xerces are drawn into the newly arrived forces of Da Two Worlds Waaagh, who had made planetfall and set up scavenging bases in response to Grimtoof's Ramshackle Shankaz's discovery of this world of scrap and warfare (an Ork's idea of a good time). The Mechanicus were not expecting to find Orks and despite a valiant attempt to ransack the Orks' workshops, they were repulsed from the Orks' territory in short order.

Ambush on Edrastan

Ambush on Edrastan.jpg

The Cobalt Scions received a distress signal from Edrastan, a system with no astropaths. Knowing it to be fake they prepared to walk into a trap. Host Vahlkaer attacked even before they finished setting up their forward base. The Aeldari smashed the base, before retreating.

Chase Them Down

Less than impressed, the scions chased them down and captured a pair of Ranger prisoners.

Foiled Revenge

Foiled Revenge.jpg

Amid the ruins of Iaa-Q the starborn soul attempt to express their irritation to Host Talisen. Things go poorly for the cultists and the Aeldari drive them back.

Boarding Action

Boarding Action.jpg

With things going poorly on Iaa-Q, the Starborn Souls launch an attack on the Ork Royul in an attempt to smuggle genestealers onto the Ork's ship. The assaulting force was wiped out, but they did manage to smuggle a single purestrain infant aboard the ship. Later reports of "space squigs" appearing on the Ork Royul suggest it survived long enough to breed.

Rad Zone

Rad Zone.jpg

The newly arrived Black Templars Fifth Crusade Fleet deployed to Iaa-Q to investigate the reports of multiple Xenos forces. There they found Host Taliesin investigating a highly irradiated site of a battle between Iron Warriors and Necrons. The Black Templars surprise them with their willingness to charge straight through the irradiated zone to get to grips with their foes.

Uninvited Guests

Uninvited Guests.jpg

Captain Lucullus invited Inquisitor Michael of the Ordo Xenos to Edrastan to collect the Aeldari prisoners for interrogation. Farseer Vahlkaer requested the aid of Host Taliesin in rescuing them. Despite something of a truce between Host Taliesin and the Cobalt Scions, Farseer Taliesin agreed. Despite having surprise on their side, the Astartes managed to weather the initial assault. The Aeldari attempted to capture Inquisitor Michael, but after heroic levels of defiance of their psychic powers, he managed to escape being surrounded by ten warriors and flee back towards his allies, only to be gunned down by dozens of shuriken. Mortally wounded, he managed to crawl into the sewers to evade capture. The Aeldari were then repulsed by the Astartes, but not before they rescued one of the captives.

Police Action

Police Action.jpg

The Black Templars Fifth Crusade Fleet spotted the ship Stellar Explorer leaving Iaa-Q, claiming to be a refugee ship but without transmitting a proper beacon. They sent a boarding party aboard and quickly found it infested. Rumours that they had begun to destroy the reactor even before they found the Xenos infestation have been denounced as anti-Imperial propaganda. The Stellar Explorer was destroyed.

While fleeing Iaa-Q, one of our ships (the Stellar Explorer) was hove to by the Black Templar Strike Cruiser Disloyalty's End. Ignoring our protestations of innocence they boarded and immediately began destroying critical infrastructure. Though we drove them off the damage had been done and we had to retreat to the escape pods before the internal stresses of the ship tore it apart. Truly the Imperium showed us it's true face today. Every word of the cult's teachings is true

Feud goes Feudal

Feud goes Feudal.jpg

Responding to the Black Templar's warning, Captain Lucullus, aboard the strike cruiser Preceptor, chased a vessel without an active transponder to the feudal world of Jäegersholm. The Starboard Souls left a sacrificial rearguard to hold the Astartes up and give the rest time to disappear into the world, but the Cobalt Scions broke through and continued the pursuit.

Cold Contact

The Disloyalty's End followed the projected course of the Stellar Explorer to Eisfang where they found yet more of the cultists infesting the region and wiped them out.

Hot Pursuit

Hot Pursuit.jpg

Raven Guard pursue the fleeing Ulthwe to express their extreme displeasure at the ambush. The defence was tough, and the Astartes failed to break through to the retreating Aeldari wounded, but they did at least express their views pointedly at the end of a bolter.

Dodgy Neighbourhood

Dodgy Neighbourhood.jpg

The Tau of the Yanoi'tyr continue to search Iaa-Q for treasure and run into some primitive locals. Turns out the primitives are hyper-aggressive and the Tau decide to search elsewhere instead.

The Purge of Helmgart Manse

The Purge of Helmgart Manse.jpg

On Jäegersholm the Cobalt Scions caught up with the Starborn Souls attempting to hide in the ruined manse of Sir Aldebrecht Helmsgart, Fifth of his name, deposed in the 4302nd year of the Elevation of Jäegersholm by a majority quorum of the Baronial council in punishment for persistent violations of the rules and norms of Jäegersholm. Despite a fierce resistance particularly by the aberrants, the Astartes were able to prevent the cultists from disappearing into the tunnels below.

Fuel Fight

Fuel Fight.jpg

Having had a fun time on Iaa-Q the Two Worlds Waaagh decided to head to pastures new. Having recently been ravaged by Aeladri, but now devoid of Astartes to protect it, Edrastan seemed ripe for the picking. A visiting mission of the Adeptus Ministorum sent word to the Order of Our Martyred Lady pleading for help. The Sisters responded, but forwarded the message to the Black Templars. The Astartes found the Orks raiding fuel depot upsilon-twelve. The fight was bloody on both sides, but the Templars managed to activate the fuel dump protocols and deploy a timed bomb, destroying the silo utterly. The dozens of civilian casualties in the forests around the silo have been blamed on the Xenos incursion.

Sisters Act

Arriving after the Black Templars, the Sisters of the Order of Our Martyred Lady arrived in time to attend to the Monastery Gherick's Retreat. The Monastery had taken in the survivors of depot upsilon-twelve, but many of them had arrived in fuel transport vehicles, which the Orks coveted. The Sisters repulsed the Orks' assault with judicious application of flames from the Immolator, but not before Kurnul Guluk Da Git managed to steal the amulet of Saint Gherick the Pure.
