SCY-064, named Maara by Rogue Trader Hassiq Betancourt-Xing, is a system in the Scyrian Expanse. It has a stable warp route to Karana. Maara Prime is actually SCY-064 A3iii, the third moon orbiting the third planet of the system's primary star, a blue giant. It has a breathable atmosphere and abundant resources. Since initial colonisation three years ago, the outpost has developed rapidly thanks to heavy investment from BXK and other major conglomerates who have paid extortionate rates for mining rights.

The primary challenge for the colony is the absence of an indigenous ecosystem, and without soil the production of food is a challenge. Terraforming efforts are underway, and in the interim, the colony is fed by extensive hydroponics facilities.
