Host Taliesin of Iybraesil

War Host Taliesin is an Aeldari Strike Force from Craftworld Iybraesil. Led by the Farseer Taliesin Dawnsoul, with support from Spiritseer Osinell Eldrien, the force contains several Aspect Shrines, Wraith Constructs and a number of vehicles.

Taliesin and his host have run across numerous lesser species during their time in Eridani, creating enemies but also tenuous alliances in the form of Martellus Lucullus and loathsome ones in the form of Trazyn the Infinite. They remain a stalwart, if slightly exasperated, ally of their cousins in Host Vahlkaer.

Originally summoned to investigate the Pheraean Rift and its strange blanketing of the warp, the Host has often been used for the personal design’s of its leader instead.

Farseer Taliesin Dawnsoul

A Farseer of great ambition, for both him and his race, Taliesin would think of himself as a visionary and great legend of his craftworld. Almost any other sentient being would think of him as lofty, dramatic and prone to sulking, but he does have visions.

Taliesin’s offer to investigate the Pharean Rift in the Eridani Sector was always dressed in a secondary motive: The reestablishment of the Eldar in Eridani. In his readings of the strands of fate, Taliesin saw his people happy, sitting on the real earth of a planet, the stars of Eridani scattered above them. The council would never approve such action, and so he would do it without them.

Spiritseer Osinell Eldrien

Plucked from relative obscurity by Taliesin after a vision, Osinell has served as part of the Host since its inception.

As a whisperer and guide to the many wraith constructs throughout the Host, Osinell has no desire to join their ranks. As such, he is an eternally cautious voice to Taliesin’s bolder impulses. The two seers often clash but Taliesin has come to rely on the young spiritseer and recognises him as the invaluable confidant and soldier that he foresaw he would be.

Osinell maintains his own non-aeldari allies in the form of Inquisitor Gregory Michael.

Exarch Anthan, Shrine of The Dawnlight Shard

Wielding a power glaive and a pistol, Anthan is viewed as extremely young for an Exarch, particularly one on his first aspect on the path of the warrior. His loss is considered a particular tragedy, a waste of the life and experiences he might have known.

Originally a warrior of the shrine of The Fallen Moon (so named for the cursed moon of Eldanesh), Anthan was a favored student of Exarch Elamrith. One night, Elamrith dreamt that after his death no one would pick up his mantle as exarch and the shrine would die with him. He and the souls of the previous exarchs within the armor could not allow this. Elamrith saw potential in Anthan and, forsaking his duty as an exarch to stop their warriors from straying from becoming lost on the path, began encouraging his obsession and molding the young protege to take over in the event of his death. In his haste, he did not foresee that Anthan would stray so quickly. The young warrior fell to the path and revived a long extinct shrine (The Dawlight Shard, named for the sword Anaris, wielded by the god Khaine and taken from Vaul), his armor home to the spirits of ancient exarchs who have not seen battle in many lifetimes.

Elamrith was left with no successor and the shame of leading his student astray. He was killed during service with the Host in the Eridani Sector, along with all remaining warriors in his shrine, eventually fulfilling the wretched prophecy.

Exarch Iseresi, Shrine of Fate’s Cast

Armed with a power sword and hawk’s talon, Iseresi is the second exarch to serve the shrine of Fate’s Cast within the Host. The first, Avinth, was a personal friend of Farseer Taliesin and killed during an engagement with Trazyn the Infinite who had her spiritstone removed from her body.

An Aeldari of middling age, Iseresi is no stranger to loss having previously served as a banshee and warp spider. She was a member of the swooping hawk squad during the time of Avinth’s death. In her grief, she found herself lost to the path and drawn to the now empty exarch armor. The armor ached with the loss of Avinth. It was angry and the souls within screamed for justice. Her fury drove her and her warriors in battle, leading them to become something of a legend in the craftword: just as hawks in myth marked murderers to the avenging, so too will they mark the enemy for the loss they have suffered.

A recent, tense, alliance between Taliesin and Trazyn the Infinite resulted in the return of the spiritstone of Avinth, and whilst the ache has now been satisfied, the desire for vengeance has not.
