The Cobalt Scions' company of veterans would, quite possibly, be regarded as a joke when measured against the weight of experience present in older, more storied Chapters. Certainly they are the Cobalt Scions' most experienced marines, most of whom have fought for the Chapter since their founding at the start of the Indomitus Crusade. In accordance with the Codex Astartes, the company almost never fight as one, instead acting as attached units for the Chapter's various strike forces. In this way, their expertise may be more efficiently disseminated to their less experienced brothers.

Known Members of the First Company

Demeias, Ballistus Dreadnought

Honoured Brother Demeias was once a member of Squad Tyvus of the Third Company. Along with his squadmates, he was mutilated by daemonically possessed veterans of the Night Lords' Thirteenth Talon. Unbeknownst to the Chapter, this experience has eroded much of his mental conditioning, leaving him with a fear of hand to hand combat. In life, Demeias was known for his intellectual curiosity and his boisterous humour, a trait that made him popular with his squad in general, and Tyvus in particular. Since interment in his sarcophagus he has been more withdrawn, but it is hoped something of his old personality may return in time.

First Company Terminators

The Cobalt Scions have only recently finished constructing the extensions to the Chapter Forge required to produce a slow trickle of tactical dreadnought armour. So far, only five suits are ready for battle.

The first five suits have not been tailored to particular individuals, but are instead kept in the armoury to be used when needed by any given squad of veterans.
