He is regarded as ambitious but un-creative, something that has stymied his passage through the ranks, much to his frustration. He remains popular with some of the Intemperance's officers, and has numerous contacts with other well-to-do types with Battlefleet Achernar as a whole. He now captains the recently launched Triumph following a crisis of confidence by its original commander when it became clear the ship would have to sail straight from its berth into battle.
