The Triumph

Gereon Priscus was the acting captain of the Intemperance for four months following Captain Tormand's arrest. The Priscus family are wealthy Kapran merchants who bought Gereon his commission as soon as he was old enough to join the service. He is regarded as ambitious but un-creative, something that has stymied his passage through the ranks, much to his frustration. He remains popular with some of the Intemperance's officers, and has numerous contacts with other well-to-do types with Battlefleet Achernar as a whole. He now captains the recently launched Triumph following a crisis of confidence by its original commander when it became clear the ship would have to sail straight from its berth into battle.
